How fortunate we were in
How fortunate we were in Toronto tonight to be entertained by the wonder that is Perpetuum Jazzile. PJ is truly a smash hit! This vocal ensemble not only knows how to sing and move to music, it thoroughly engages the audience with its joy and love of sound. And what a sound PJ makes!! PJ is jzzy, soulful, rock'n'roll folksy. PJ's vocal sounds span across all ranges and include the beat of drums, bass and guitar solos - amazing! The blue, green and mauve shots of colour amid the singers' black ensembles reflect both their variety of sounds and love of individualities. Soloists pop in and out of the group just as colour pops in and out of the music. The energy and creativity of the PJ singers and their creative director, Tomaz Kozlevcar, is.... energizing! Thank you, Perpetuum Jazzile, for stopping by Toronto on your first North American tour. I wish you much well-deserved success!!!
